Trinity Church a small Russian Orthodox Church on King George Island near Russia Bellingshausen Station in Antarctica. It’s an eastern orthodox church in the world. The ambitious project is to establish a church or even a monastery on Antarctica surfaced during 1990. A charity name “Temple of Antarctica” was approved by patriarch Alexius II and receives donation across Russia. The cruch has been built in traditional Russian style. The church is manned year-round by one or two Orthodox priests, who are hieromonks of Troitse – Sergiyeva Lavra volunteering for the Antarctic assignment. Their Schedule of services has been update every week.
